How to make a watermelon candle
What you will need:
• 20cl Candle glass
• Candle wick
• Wick stick Ums
• KeraSoy Container Wax
• Watermelon Margarita Fragrance Oil
• Green Liquid Candle Dye
• Red Liquid Candle Dye
• Wick centering tool
• Permanent marker
Step 1 – Wick
Peel off the wick stick ums and place it onto the end of the candle wick.
Then peel the other side of the stick ums and place the wick in the middle of the glass.
Step 2 – Wax
Measure out your wax, for the first layer (green) use around 60g.
Fill your pan halfway with boiling water.
Melt your wax on a medium to low heat, stir till melted.
Step 3 – Green Dye
Once melted take off the heat and add a few drops of green candle dye and stir.
Step 4 – Fragrance
Wait till the wax has cooled to 65 degrees then add fragrance.
We have used Watermelon Margarita Fragrance Oil and split the 10% between all three layers.
Step 5 – Pour
Transfer your wax onto a pouring jug, then pour your wax into the candle glass.
Then add a wick centering tool.
Step 6 – Layers
Leave each layer of wax to set for 1 hour.
Step 7 - White layer
Weight out 40g for your white layer.
Melt the wax, then leave to cool 65 degree before adding fragrance, then pour wax onto glass.
Step 8 - Red Layer
Weight out 80 to 100g for your red layer.
Melt the wax, add a few drops of red candle dye, then leave to cool 65 degree before adding fragrance, then pour wax onto glass.
Step 9 – Seeds
Once set, draw the seeds on the glass with a permanent marker.
Done! You’ve made a one in a melon candle!
