How to make a vintage teacup candle
Vintage teacup candles are great for vintage parities, weddings and home decor.
They are super cute and unique, you can find vintage teacups in charity shops, antique shops and online online such as (eBay or Etsy). You may have one in your loft or grange or maybe you know a family member who might have one.
What you will need:
Vintage Teacup
Wick stick ums
EcoSoya CB Advanced
Fragrance Oil
Wick centering tool
Wax scoop
Step 1 - Wick
Peel off the wick stick ums and place it onto the end of the candle wick.
Then peel the other side of the stick ums and place the wick in the middle of the cup.
Step 2 – Wax
Measure out your wax, we used two scoops for one cup.
Fill your pan halfway with boiling water.
Melt your wax on a medium to low heat and stir until melted.
Once melted take off the heat, we chose not to add dye to create a simple look.
If you would like a coloured candle, add a few drops of liquid dye and stir.
Step 3 - Fragrance
Wait till the wax has cooled to 65 degrees then add fragrance.
We used Black Orchid Fragrance Oil.
Step 4 - pour
Transfer your wax into a pouring jug and then pour your wax into the cup.
Then add a wick centering tool.
Step 5 - Set
Leave to set overnight, then trim the wick to 1/8 inch.
We’d love to see your work!
