Quality Assurance Specialist 

Purpose

To implement company quality assurance standards by developing new standards for production and design of products, creating testing protocols for all service lines and ensure employees and suppliers comply to them, and ensure all our products are legal, safe and meet customer and business expectations.

Introduce complaint and non-conformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions as well as documenting quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee inspections and testing of incoming and outgoing products, to confirm quality conforms to specifications and quality deliverables.
  • To create and support in the production sealing procedure, ensuring it is being adhered to and that company and industry standards are achieved by ensuring the final product observes the company’s quality standards.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes.
  • Create a system to track, document and report quality levels as well as CSR, environmental and health and safety goals.
  • Monitor risk-management procedures; create, maintain and analyse problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development.
  • Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and support to others on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
  • Work with test houses where appropriate to ensure compliance and due diligence, maintaining company information systems in line with requirements.
  • Manage technical aspects of re-sourcing projects for the business to deliver agreed cost saving KPIs and off set price increases.
  • Working with the product manager, marketing and suppliers to ensure all products are executed in terms of construction, fittings, means of production, finish, raw material, packaging, assembly instructions, labelling etc. to agreed quality and customer standards.
  • Be responsible for any quality problems which occur with existing products ensuring a quick resolution to any issue and maximizing claims recovery for the business area.
  • Provide excellence in customer service to internal and external customers listening to and understanding their needs and responding in a customer focused manner.
  • Creation of Safety Data Sheets and liaise with necessary supplier for any non-conformances.
  • Ability to manage several projects at one time and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Be used to working in a fast-paced environment and able to keep a cool head whilst multi-tasking.
  • Know, understand, and incorporate the company philosophy, values and vision in all behavior, practice and decisions.
  • Health and safety compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Background Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree or experience of working in product development, quality, compliance, or manufacturing.
  • Professional qualification such as Quality Engineer or Quality Auditor.
  • 1 years demonstrable or relevant work experience in QA.
  • Competent computer skills and working knowledge of MS office applications.
  • Experience in implementing ISO 9001 accreditation would also be preferable
